APAX Global Payment and Technologies expanding services within the Asian Market
APAX Global Payment and Technologies Ltd., (APAX) is expanding its business operations into the Asian Market, mainly focused in Vietnam and China.

London, October 1st, 2008; APAX Global Payment and Technologies Ltd., (APAX) is expanding its business operations into the Asian Market, mainly focused in Vietnam and China. After having an office in Hong Kong for several years, APAX has opened an office two weeks ago in Hanoi Vietnam to facilitate the huge demand for its credit card and electronic payment products in that region. The Hanoi office offers card processing related services for local merchants accepting POS transactions as well as online card processing for merchants from the entire region. Within its first two weeks of operation APAX has been able to successfully launch its products with a local branch of a well known international hotel chain and a local airline. The Hanoi office will also be hosting the customer support center for the APAX group, employing up to 150 people.

APAX CEO Peter Arnold states: "APAX sees a great potential for doing business in the Asian Market. Bringing the use of credit cards to the region will create not only a boost in e-commerce but will also create a larger interest for tourists visiting the region and having the comfort of using their credit cards more often accepted by local stores, restaurants and hotels. Using the global network of acquiring banks that APAX has to over, merchants will benefit from much lower rates for their card processing. The savings will initiate a higher willingness of merchants to offer payment by credit or debit card to their customers."
